MGMT: Congratulations CD Review (Music Mania)
This upcoming month of April was suppose to be the CD Release of MGMT's Congratulations, but PPJS got the newest scope and review on MGMT's new CD!

In the past week or so, the album was leaked on to the internet so what did MGMT decide to do? They put it out there too, you can listen to the whole album here in MGMT's official website.
MGMT: Congratulations
MGMT definitely made hit singles last year with songs like Electric Feel, Kids and Time To Pretend from their album, Oracular Spectacular.
Time To Pretend
Electric Feel
Kids
Don't expect a second Oracular Spectacular in Congratulation. Although the band kept true with their psychedelic and experimental roots, the new CD has more acoustic and soothing melodies that the usual MGMT Fan wouldn't expect. MGMT brings a new entree to the table, with a lot of fun vintage organ and synth sounds, and beach rhythms that can not be missed! This American band definitely has a mixture of The Beatles, Mew and a little bit of Bob Dylan. Their CD reflects a wide range and fusion of some of the most interesting decades in music history. You can clearly hear the 60's organs, 1980's synthesizers and 1950's raspy melancholic vocals. Don't be disappointed that MGMT went a little bit more acoustic than their energetic Oracular Spectacular. This album just comes to show the versatility MGMT has in creating and innovating themselves. It takes a couple of listens before you get used to this creative side of them, but none the less, Congratulations seems to be another great album put out by MGMT.

If you want to listen to more of MGMT you can go to their website where their album is featured and available to pre-order.
