Anchors: Music From The Future CD Review (Music Mania)

Anchors, Music From The Future is a very colorful EP full of fun and upbeat tunes. If The Strokes, As Tall As Lions, Metro Station, The Killers and Caribou had a side project, a very similar tune like Music From The Future would flourish. Don't be intimidated by the big main stream names, Anchors stay true to it's indie rock and roll roots combining a bit of electronica and acoustics. Anchors has definitely its own sound, by combining rock, acoustic. pop and other unique elements of music. You can clearly hear piano, synths, classic electric and acoustic guitars, and drums. One must note that the vocals by Seth Hecox (who plays the piano and guitar as well) plays an important element that makes Music From The Future sound authentic and inspiring.
