To dream that you are going abroad can be either good or unfortunate for the dreamer. The meaning behind such a dream depends a lot on the emotions that the dreamer feels. If the dream takes place while you are still traveling to the place abroad, this means that you are still in a transitional point in your waking life much like you would be if you were taking a real trip. If you have arrived at your destination this means that the transitional point in your life is coming to or is already at an end.
Dreaming of going somewhere abroad suggests the situation or object in your life is something new or foreign. If the place you are going to excites you, then whatever it is in your life probably excites you as well. You may be fearful of traveling to a new place though, or at least you may act anxious in the dream. If this happens then it may be that the new thing in your life is something you are worried about or your subconscious is warning you about.

- Why are you going?
- Where are you leaving from?
- How do you feel about the place you are leaving?
- How do you feel about the place you are going to?
- Is anyone traveling with you or are you alone?
- How are you traveling? (plane, boat, train, car, etc.)
