Everyone experiences school at some stage in their lives. After all, in the first 25 years of our lives we spend most of it at an education institution!

FAVOURITE SUBJECTS

I love art because it doesn't even feel like schoolwork for me. My art class is definitely a nice break from all the other courses I have to take. It's fun. Tanya, 16 from Indiana, USA

Well, my favourite subject has to be economics... mostly because my professor is totally gorgeous! lol. Sometimes it's difficult to concentrate on what he's saying, he's just too cute *winks* Jocelyn, 18 from Ontario, CAN

NEXT WEEK ON SCHOOL GIRL...

Can you give me some hints in overcoming public speaking in class? I'm pretty outgoing I would like to think, but in class it is hard for me to participate verbally. This semester in college, I'm a couple of classes where participation is a big part of my grade and I believe that my grade is going to suffer because I am too shy to speak in class. Is there anything I can do to overcome this? Thanks so much! Shy Girl, 19 from Connecticut, USA

Ashley's comment: Public speaking can be extremely challenging and is something that many people struggle with. As I really want to help you out with this, I'm going to make next week's theme be all about presenting and participating in class. If you guys have any tips for Shy Girl that have proven to be successful for you in the past, send them in so we can hopefully help her and others feel more confident and comfortable speaking in class.
