School Girl Archive
Everyone experiences school at some stage in their lives. After all, in the first 25 years of our lives we spend most of it at an education institution!
NEW COLUMNIST!!! YAY!
Hey guys! This is Ashley, the new columnist for School Girl. I'm so excited to be working for PurplePJs and hope that you will enjoy what I'll be doing with the column. This week is all about crazy teachers you've had. Whether they've been funny, outgoing, or just plain weird, we've all had teachers who could keep us awake in class with their peculiar behaviour.
My calculus teacher last year, for example, was obsessed with the number twenty-three. He believed that 23 was a "special" number that haunted him and would spend half of the class time going over the different sightings of 23 that he had had since our previous lesson. LOL.
Anyways, here are some of the best submissions I received this week:

TIE TALKER...
I used to have a teacher who talked to his tie when the class wouldn't quiet down. Not hugely crazy but it was pretty funny, when you see your teacher holding his tie in front of his face and teaching it the lesson "since the class doesn't want to know"...
SNOWBALL FIGHT...IN CLASS????
My 7th grade English teacher was hilarious. Her name was Ms. Fish, and let's just say that she liked to party. Every Monday she would come in completely hung over, and we could get away with a lot of cool things in class. She was also really funny. One day during the winter, she opened the window and made a snowball and threw it into the class. We then spent the whole English period having a snowball fight, and nobody got in trouble because the teacher had started it. Some of my best memories were from that class!
Ashley's comment: Hahaha! You're really lucky to have had a teacher that awesome! Sounds like you had a blast ![]()
A HELPFUL WEBSITE
I'm sure many of you have already heard of RateMyProfessors.com but for those who haven't, it's a great site that allows you to see what your fellow students have to say about the teachers at your school. It's really useful when choosing classes--- it gives you a good indication of what teachers are "crazy" like the ones talked about above and can help you find the best teacher suitable for your own needs and preferences. Check it out!
NEXT TIME ON SCHOOL GIRL...
For next week's theme, why don't you do something about favourite school subjects? Science for me!!! My teacher is the coolest
Ashley's comment: What a great idea! Thanks Amanda
Okay guys, start sending in your submissions about you favourite class!! Make sure to say why you like that subject so much---I'd love to hear what you guys have to say!
Ashley's comment: LOL! That reminds me of a teacher I have right now. Whenever the class gets rowdy, he'll start smacking himself across the face or making random nonsense noises until people settle down and turn their attention back to him. What a goofball!
