Abercrombie

Abercrombie Theme... you can paint your walls like a ivory color (or almost dirty white) and have a dark carpet or dark wooden floor. Get really dark navy blue bed sheets. On your walls (desk or shelves) but black and white pictures up. Get wooden furniture. And spray your room every 1/2 hour with their perfume! haha! Good luck! De, 21 from Illinois, USA

Truffles's comment: This is way better than any advice I could give you, I am clueless when it comes to Abercrombie. Thanks De!

For an Abercrombie room, put up black and white photos of you and friends or just landscape pictures (or hot guys like they do in the store! Lol!) If you can, put up some faux white wood panels on your walls for a finish like they do in the store. Have funky chandeliers and a dark, rich wall color that's not pastel or too bright. Lastly, buy a curtain rod and put it in place over your closet door, then hang a curtain there like some of the changing rooms have in their stores. It's much cooler then a normal door. *smiles* ....., 15 from California, USA

Truffles's comment: See? You PurplePJers totally rock!

A fellow columnist in need of help...

My mom says I can paint my room (yess!!). And, from all my previous submissions lol, I have pale pink venetian blinds, and all my furniture is brown (blegh... parents' idea... natural wood... eww). I wanted a dramatic sort of colour for my wall... like lime green, or magenta etc. But I don't know what would look good on walls! Please help Truffles!! Chocoholic, 15 from Singapore

Truffles's comment: Choco, do not ever insult natural wood again or I will hurt you. lol. AANNYYWAAAYYSSS, your personality is so bubbly, I'm glad you picked bright colors. A very popping purple would look stunning in your room. Although you might want to watch out for the purple/pink combination to give you too much of a...."princessy" room. Lime green and hot pink seems to be all the rage now. Bright colors can sometimes be a bit mind-boggling as wall colors, so you might want to mix-and-match, or have your walls be a more neutral color and have popping accessories. I was once forced to live in a room where the wall colors where bright blue and bright purple. I did not like it at all. It was just too much for me, as I prefer lighter tones. Go with what you want. Take some paint samples and tape them to your wall to see how much you like that color and how it looks with different lighting. If there's any way for you to actually paint a stripe of color on your wall and keep it like that for a few days, try and see how much you like the colors.

NEXT TIME ON DECOR ROOM

Chocoholic's submission made me think a lot about colors on walls. What color are your walls? How did you decide to choose that color? Are there any colors you could not STAND in your room? Submit Submit Submit Submit... In fact, if I get more than 5 submissions... you'll get a nice little surprise on Decor Room.

The Columnist

TrufflesI'm Truffles, I'm 14 years old and I love PPJs. I've been visiting PPJs for about 2 years and I jumped at the chance to be an Columnist. My interests include art design, reading, surfing the net, and rollerskating. My greatest love is singing, and I do that very often. I enjoy singing and dancing and are a part of my school's show choir. I'm an aunt to 2 boys and 1 girl and they take up a lot of my free time. I'm an honors student in school and I'm in 8th grade this year (yay). I have to take Geometry at the high school though and it's fun, but hard. Umm yeah, my life is pretty boring, but PPJs has changed that and I love being a columnist!
