Animal Ark
Aww
The mom and the female pup were playing on my parent's bed. I was sitting there with my mother and we were having a ball watching them play. The mother dog would let the little one, roll her over and chew on her legs and ears it was great. The pup was really into it, eventually she needs a breather so the mother dog is laying on her back watching the pup upside down and the puppy retreats about a foot for a few seconds, then all of a sudden gets her wind back and rushes to jump on her mother again - only the mother dog was prepared and kicked out all four feet in perfect time to send the poor pup flying in an arc over the edge of the bed.
I was stunned at what I'd just seen so I didn't react immediately, then all of a sudden we hear the pup let out a loud (for a puppy) woof and she appears at the side of the bed jumping up wanting back on the bed to play. We laughed and laughed once we knew the pup was OK.
Who's Seen The Dog Whisper
Cesar thinks that if you have a dog that is tearing apart your home or being aggressive it's because the dog has too much energy. He usually corrects that with having the owns take the dog for a LONG walk, and shows the owners how to walk there pet right (that is, having the dog walk calmly at your side, not pulling you threw it's walk) he also shows them how to assertively (not in a harmful way) to correct your pet in the home, or even on a walk. It's hard to really explain but it's pretty cool to watch, and the change in some of these animals is truly amazing. There's like an instant change, and that's just in the first day, it's hard to image what could happen with these pets over time.
So I have some homework for any of you readers out there that are up to it. I want you to go to Cesar Millan, Inc. and check out the site (in case you haven't figured it out, it's Cesar Millan's official site) and tell me what you think of it. Do you agree with some (or all) of what he says or do you disagree??
I want you personal opinion, good or bad. So tell me what you think, I look forward to seeing what you think.
She was a beautiful tri-color Shetland sheepdog. She was the most amazing dog we have ever owned. Smart as a cookie, she was.
She was just going to get fixed. Turns out, she had a lot more problems than we ever thought. One of her kidneys weren't attached and wasn't working. She has cyst all over inside. She was overweight (we were working on that), and the list goes on.
Thankfully, when this all happened, my mom called my dad and told him to come home, that we weren't sure she was going to make it. She made it through the surgery. She woke up. She was doing really good. For a while there, our vet even thought she'd make it. But two hours later or more, she passed away in my dad's arm and at our house.
After the surgery, our vet followed us home and stayed with us until she passed. He helped us buried her. After all the pets (of ours) he had saved, he couldn't save our Chloe Rose. He said she would have died on her own anyway.
Loyal dog until the end. She had a strong spirit, just not strong enough. She knew my dad was in for a heartbreak in the end. She tried to stay with us.
But sadly, they think her heart gave out.
Alexandra's comment: I'm very sorry about your dog's death. Best regards to you and your family. She sounded like a lovely dog. Just remember that she's always there with you in spirit. I know how it is to loose a pet. My guinea pig Noelle passed away last November. She had been sick since around September but she had recovered for a little bit. When November came around her illness came back and she passed away peacefully in her sleep while I was at school. So I know how it is to have a pet who fought to live pass away all of a sudden. Once again best regards for you and your family and I'm very sorry that she died so young.
Alexandra's comment: Sounds like you have a lot of responsibility taking care of everyone!
Stacey's comment: Awww, that's so cute, and I'm glad that the little puppy was okay.
