An independent, single mother who owns a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island, Donna (Meryl Streep) is about to let go of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the spirited daughter she’s raised alone. For Sophie’s wedding, Donna has invited her two lifelong best girlfriends—practical and no-nonsense Rosie (Julie Walters) and wealthy, multi-divorcee Tanya (Christine Baranski)—from her one-time backing band, Donna and the Dynamos. But Sophie has secretly invited three guests of her own. On a quest to find the identity of her father to walk her down the aisle, she brings back three men from Donna’s past to the Mediterranean paradise they visited 20 years earlier. Over 24 chaotic, magical hours, new love will bloom and old romances will be rekindled on this lush island full of possibilities. Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s hit songs from “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.” to “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” Mamma Mia! The Movie is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.

Some of America’s top critics saluted Mamma Mia! The Movie when it took the country by storm with its catchy tunes and ebullient message. “An absolutely hilarious, rousing and joyous celebration! You’ll want to see it again the minute it ends,” raves Pete Hammond, of Hollywood.com. Scooter Smiff: Head of My Class

Recently the chief administrator at PurplePJs got a chance to talk to Scooter Smiff, a 13-year-old rapper with no shortage of things to say about a lot of the issues that older performers and older people (even 21-year-olds!) are overlooking. He's got a new single coming out and wants everything to know what he's all about.

There aren’t a lot of 13-year-old rappers out there, and being a kid these days is different. Gangs and trying to stay in school are really big issues. It’s not always easy to stay at the “head of your class.” Scooter feels that he can help show adults these days that there are kids that are staying out of the gangs and using their talents in the right way. If anything, this is exactly what his first single, Head of My Class, is trying to get across, of course, to a rockin' beat that can't help but bring you to your feet.

Despite working hard on his career, Sscooter still gets to do normal 13-year-old kid stuff. He loves to go out and skateboard and hang out with his friends. But work is demanding and he's moved from Baltimore to Los Angeles, though he is sure to say that he goes back to Baltimore to visit his family as much as he can. He's also found a great friend in Chris Brown, Scooter reports, “Chris Brown is like my big brother and we do stuff like brothers do.” They met through his friend Miles, who was one of Chris's dancers from the Grammies and recommended Scooter for the job. They were rehearsing for this when Chris checked out Scooter's MySpace and the rest is history!

We’ve all seen lots of young, talented people go down the wrong path but Scooter is committed to staying focused. Inspired by other rappers and also Barack Obama he sees the importance of staying focused so that you can show your talents off to the world. Not trying to get too political, he’s also happy that Obama is president because Obama sets a good example for, especially, what young black men can do. And of course, Obama is going to be the best.

To the readers of PurplePJs Scooter says, “You all my favorite girl, hopefully you’ll buy my album, and my song 'Head of my Class' is on iTunes. My number is 443-569-5218 and look at my MySpace!"

Though because this is PurplePJs, we're not going to make you go to iTunes, check out the link below to hear "Head of My Class" and take a look at the video to discover exactly "Who is Scooter Smiff?" in the words of the people that know him best!
